The Class of 2026 graduation exhibition of the Department of Cultural Design and Marketing, titled “Tai-San-Tun,” is on display on campus until April 23. Graduates delved into Taichung’s Nantun, Beitun, and Xitun districts for their graduation projects. The first-place group, “Data Backup in Progress,” designed an engaging archaeological experience focused on three historical sites in Xitun District. The second-place group, “Classic Scenes,” used comics to translate the Nantun Wanhe Temple’s “Zixing Opera” tradition, while the third-place group, “Nantun Creation Chronicles,” used handicrafts and character-led tours to help visitors rediscover the industrial memories and cultural traces—both existing and past—of Nantun Old Street. The 13 exhibited works are diverse and rich, showcasing the dedication and creativity of the younger generation in inheriting local culture.
