Dept. of Physical Therapy’s “Walking with the Gods: Brave Feet Protection Team” Receives Acclaim for Pilgrimage Support
大甲媽祖遶境活動於4月17日展開。經學務處課指組、物理治療系學會與運動防護志工隊共同組成「與神同行勇腳防護隊」，於4月18日在台中市大肚區提供防護服務。前來接受服務的香客超過300人，年齡介於10至88歲之間，雖然進香行程僅開始大約30公里，但其中三分之一以上反應因為長時間行走小腿痠痛，學生志工趕緊為他們貼紮防護，香客們紛紛致謝。
The Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage commenced on April 17. Organized jointly by the Extracurricular Activities Guidance Section of the Office of Student Affairs, the Physical Therapy Student Association, and the Athletic Training Volunteer Team, the “Walking with the Gods: Brave Feet Protection Team” provided professional care services in Dadu District, Taichung City, on April 18. The team served over 300 pilgrims ranging in age from 10 to 88. Although the pilgrimage had only covered about 30 kilometers at that point, over one-third of the participants reported calf soreness due to prolonged walking. Student volunteers promptly provided taping and protective care, earning widespread gratitude from the pilgrims.
