Department of Hospitality Management Faculty and Students Cook Across Taiwan; Southeast Asian Flavors Delight Children’s Taste Buds
餐旅管理系37名師生組成的「2026弘愛台灣・義煮青年」團隊，利用暑假到屏東、台東、花蓮、宜蘭4間育幼院、兒童之家義煮，透過料理與互動關懷300位院生。參與的大一、大二學生們說，籌備一學期的義煮活動，陪伴院生時間雖只有3小時，當小朋友天真地說：「謝謝大哥哥、大姊姊，你們做的菜好好吃！」心裡充滿暖暖感動，這是今年最有意義的事！
A team of 37 faculty and students from the Department of Hospitality Management, named “2026 Love Taiwan · Cooking Youth,” spent their summer vacation volunteering to cook for children across four orphanages and children’s homes in Pingtung, Taitung, Hualien, and Yilan. Through delicious cuisine and warm interaction, they brought care to 300 residents. Participating first- and second-year students shared that although they spent only three hours with the children after a full semester of preparation, hearing them say innocently, “Thank you, big brothers and sisters, your food is so delicious!” filled their hearts with warmth. They called it the most meaningful experience of the year!
