Department of Health Business Administration and Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Team Up for First Joint Internship in Canada, Balancing AI and Human-Centered Care
本校與加拿大REL Technology Inc.合作的邁入第4年，今年執行教育部「學海築夢－加拿大健康照護科技實習體驗計畫」最大的特色，在於首度跨領域納入語言治療與聽力學系學生，與健康事業管理系學生一同赴溫哥華進行海外實習。團隊將AI非接觸式感測技術與健康管理、溝通、認知及吞嚥功能相結合，把長者評估從傳統生理數值延伸至「全人健康」，為海外長照場域注入多元專業與科技溫暖。
Entering its fourth year of partnership with Canada’s REL Technology Inc., Hungkuang University is executing the Ministry of Education’s “Building Dreams Abroad – Overseas Healthcare Technology Internship Program in Canada.” The key highlight of this year’s initiative is the inaugural interdisciplinary inclusion of students from the Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, joining students from the Department of Health Business Administration for an overseas internship in Vancouver. The team combines AI contactless sensing technology with health management, as well as communication, cognitive, and swallowing functions. By extending elderly health assessments from traditional physiological metrics to “holistic health,” the project infuses overseas long-term care environments with multidisciplinary expertise and technological warmth.
