Ten faculty members and students from the Department of Hospitality Management recently participated in the “2026 International Asian Culinary Challenge” (J-IAFBC), securing an outstanding result of 8 gold and 2 silver medals. Among the student competitors, Li Pei-cen exquisitely decorated Taiwanese tilapia rolls with sliced cucumbers and carrots, while Tsai Pei-hsuan crafted delicate and beautiful feathers from tart crust to garnish scallops and cold-smoked salmon; both secured gold medals in the Appetizer category. Driven by their passion for hand-brewed coffee, students He Jia-ni, Huang Yan-xun, Wang Chen-yu, and Hsieh Shih-han utilized their summer break to sharpen their professional skills, ultimately taking home 4 gold medals in the Dynamic Hand-Brewed Coffee Competition.
