Marking the fourth year of partnership between Hungkuang University and REL Technology Inc. in Canada, this year’s Ministry of Education “Building Dreams Abroad – Overseas Healthcare Technology Internship Program in Canada” features a major milestone: the first interdisciplinary inclusion of students from the Department of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology alongside students from the Department of Health Business Administration for an overseas internship in Vancouver. The team combines AI contactless sensing technology with health management, as well as communication, cognitive, and swallowing functions. By expanding elderly health assessments from traditional physiological metrics to “holistic health,” the project infuses overseas long-term care environments with multidisciplinary expertise and technological warmth.
