In response to the new Product Information File (PIF) regulations for cosmetics that fully took effect on July 1, many beauty industry practitioners have experienced deep anxiety due to various online rumors. Addressing these concerns, the Department of Cosmetic Science at Hungkuang University, in collaboration with the Taiwan Beauty Association of Co-Progress (TACC) and the Cosmetics Monster Club, recently hosted the “Beauty Industry Compliance Seminar.”

During the seminar, regulatory expert Instructor Yuan Ming-chen compiled 151 practical challenges raised by industry members into four primary themes: Product Compliance, Advertising Materials, Scope of Services, and Inspection Responsibilities. By analyzing these issues line-by-line against actual regulatory clauses, the speaker helped frontline beauty professionals clarify their rights and responsibilities, enabling them to use and sell products with confidence under the new compliance standards.
