高齡化社會來臨，長照與護理領域吸引許多非護理背景者投入。弘光科技大學學士後護理系校友李家和，便是極具代表性的案例。他從國立科大化學工程與材料工程系畢業後，曾想捧鐵飯碗準備郵政特考，但在照顧受傷家人中，意識到更嚮往能提供人溫暖的職業，因而進修社工學分、念後護系取得護理師證照，5年前更創業成立社區長照機構，成了「專業跨域、職涯加值」最佳寫照。

With the onset of a super-aged society, the fields of long-term care and nursing have attracted many professionals from non-nursing backgrounds. Li Jia-He, an alumnus of the Post-Baccalaureate Department of Nursing at Hungkuang University, serves as a quintessential example.
After graduating from a national university of science and technology with a degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering, Li initially pursued a stable career in the postal service examination. However, while caring for an injured family member, he realized a deeper calling toward a profession that provides warmth and direct human support. This realization prompted him to pursue social work credits and enroll in the Post-Baccalaureate Nursing program to earn his RN license. Five years ago, he founded a community long-term care institution, perfectly embodying the spirit of “cross-disciplinary expertise and career value-added.”
