講題：The Foundation for EMI in Taiwan’s Higher Education: Pooling Resources and Endeavors to Maximize English Use and Performance in School Education
This talk aims to provide a big picture about resources and endeavors that underpin and contribute to many EMI curriculums currently implemented in universities in Taiwan. There is no doubt that a solid foundation is crucial for these curriculums to be successfully implemented with inspiring, or at least encouraging or satisfactory, outcomes on the parts of the students, teachers, and administrators. Also, many may agree that a strong foundation includes developing English language proficiency in both students and teachers, designing and delivering curriculum effectively, and fostering a supportive learning environment at school. However, a solid foundation for sustainable success in promoting and implementing EMI curriculums in Taiwan’s higher education involves more than those mentioned earlier, and that is what the speaker of the talk will fill the audience on.
