Campus Safety Center Anti-Fraud Awareness – 【Received a \”Multiple Device Login\” Notification? Don’t Rush to Click!】This is a Scam.

Recently, multiple cases of \"fake bank emails\" have been detected. Scammers impersonate banks and send emails claiming \"account abnormalities\" or \"multiple device logins\" to lure people into clicking links. These links then steal credit card numbers, security codes (CVV), and one-time passwords (OTP), ultimately leading to unauthorized charges.

These scams usually follow three common tactics:
1. \"Imitating Bank Notifications\"
They deliberately mimic the official bank format and use professional language to create the appearance of an \"official notice.\"
2. \"Creating a Sense of Urgency\"
The content often includes phrases like \"abnormal login,\" \"multiple device login,\" or \"unusual transaction detected.\"
3. \"Redirecting to Phishing Websites\"
They include fake links that prompt you to enter your credit card information and OTP.

If you receive a similar notification, be sure to:
- Do not click on any suspicious links.
- Use the bank’s official website, app, or customer service to verify.
- Carefully review the content of OTP text messages.
