Post-Baccalaureate Nursing Alumnus Integrates Social Work and Nursing Expertise to Vitalize Long-term Care Entrepreneurship
With the onset of a super-aged society, the fields of long-term care and nursing have attracted professionals from diverse backgrounds. Li Jia-He, an alumnus of the Post-Baccalaureate Department of Nursing, serves as a quintessential example. A graduate in Chemical and Materials Engineering from a national university of science and technology, Li initially pursued a stable career in the postal service examination. However, while caring for an injured family member, he realized a deeper calling toward a profession that provides warmth and direct human support. This led him to pursue social work credits and enroll in the Post-Baccalaureate Nursing program to earn his RN license. Five years ago, he founded a community long-term care institution, perfectly embodying the spirit of “cross-disciplinary expertise and career value-added.”
